Freelance author and humorist Jody L. Campbell completed his first anthology Black Raspberries and Other Tales in 2004.  The book features such critically acclaimed tales as the self titled Black Raspberries, The Room, and The Dying Man.  Focusing his writing efforts in short stories in several different genres, Campbell bases many of them in the New Hampshire or New England area.  His next venture was a project involving 12 different authors completing an anthology entitled Doses of Death; A Macabre Collection of Small Town Terror which features his fictional tale Flowers of Fortune that takes place in Milan, New Hampshire.  (refer to the Doses of Death link for more information on the book)  After completing several other projects, Campbell finished his first novel length feature entitled Season of the Sand Devil which takes places in the fictional town of Clarkesburg, New Hampshire which he also placed the setting in the Great North Woods.  The book just completed its first editing process through Eileen Alexander, editor of the Coos County Democrat based in Lancaster, New Hampshire and is still awaiting publication.  The first four chapters appear on the web site as a free excerpt.  The main genre of the book is suspense/horror, but just as many of Campbell's other works, it also includes drama, romance, humor, and supernatural elements.

Campbell resides in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire with his wife Vicky, their daughter Jadyn, and their German Shepherd Brando.  His latest writings have been humorous essays which also appear on this site entitled The Ant and the Coffee Maker and The Not So Fast-Food Luncheon.
